Promotion problems
I’ve been sharing stuff on this and other platforms for over a decade. I’ve never had anything to sell or promote that had any true chance of monetizing, until this book, my memoir, launching 8–26–25. (available for pre-order as an ebook now)
Seth Godin says things like:
“Earning this trust, in an effort to be generous, is time-consuming and dissuades some from going down this path.”
“Sometimes this effort leads marketers to spam, to take shortcuts, to lie… ultimately doomed and deluded effort to be generous.”
Boy, do I feel like I am spamming now!
I’m trying to remember that I have been doing the time-consuming part, so hopefully, I’ll have some grace and capital to spend now as I promote.
If that is not the case, or you are new to this feed, I hope you realize this is not my typical posting posture or habit.
All that said, I am sharing some early reader reflections about my book. The ebook is available for pre-order now, and it will launch in paperback and hardcover on the 26th of August.
If you’ve read this far, you are likely one of the folks giving me the grace to promote. Thank you! I hope you find what I share here (that is less promotional) of value, and you will consider checking out the book one day. Iwant2CUsoar
